CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE 2020

OUR “PLANS” FOR 2021

Hey friends!
Notice I put “plans” in quotes! The joke we have all heard is that no one had 2020 vision to see this coming, nor did we see so many of the things that has caused us all grief this year. We are weather proofing our goals as much as possible.

START GROUPS LED BY MEN

“And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.” 2 Timothy 2:2
  • Men leading is fundamental to solid Biblical churches growing and reaching other families.
  • I will be starting a Man-Church podcast to help reach and disciple men.
  • These men will be serving the community by helping with Veterans events and caring for single-moms who need help. The best form of discipleship is elbow-to-elbow.
  • These groups will function as small-church like groups.

BEGINNING A MEN’S GROUP!

  • The “STAND FIRM” Men’s Group means to STAND, Fearless, Incarnational, and as Remnant Men. God has been moving in my heart to call out the Remnant Men to pray, learn together, worship together, and lead in serving their families, community, and church during these perilous times.

SERVE THE COMMUNITY

  • Formerly Homeless Military Veterans (25). We have been providing groceries for these men, but now the director has invited us to do events with them, like cookouts, Axe-throwing, movie nights, and fishing trips with these men. This will be great for them but also for our men who will be serving with us! We will need a large team of men for this kind of ministry.
  • Serving 50 Single parents (mostly moms) who need groceries, and their kids bicycles fixed, and other things our men’s team can handle!
  • Helping families who need help when can.
  • Family Fun events with the constraints that we may be given.

SHARE THE GOSPEL!

  • That is the main thing we will be doing.
  • We will be teaching on how to share your faith. We want to see 50 people get trained this year to be able to share their faith!

The Well Newsletter End of Year Report 2020

THANK YOU!

This is all because of God’s blessing and favor, your prayers and generosity. All glory to God. If it were not me here leading this, then God would have someone else. I thank God we GET to do this and that He has allowed me to lead this. In the end, we are all unprofitable servants no matter how much “success” we may have.

RECENTLY!

  • Seven families we were able to help with collectively over 25 kids! That equated to more than 120 presents for these families! We want to thank you for making this happen! Read the thank you notes at the bottom of this email.

SHARING THE GOSPEL!

  • Because of Covid, thousands of people have heard the Gospel this year through The Well! Many have responded to the Gospel and have followed Jesus! I am so excited about this!
  • Church in the Park! We reached hundreds with our outside services. Then we did fellowship events the following week which helped everyone get out of the house and enjoy meeting and seeing others. We were able to connect with lots of people!
  • Trained dozens of people in how to lead a discipleship group.
  • Produced and published the Fire Pit Church Bible Study, a disciple making curriculum and a new believers guide.
  • Easter: We gave out over 350 Easter Egg bags with the Gospel inside each bag. Community members and leaders helped us distribute them.
  • Lots of fun events to connect: Snow sledding outreach, Father’s Day grill out, Birthday party outreach, duck race family outreach, and other community relationship building events.
  • This summer we were able to have kids camps which were wonderful! Many came to follow Christ.
  • Two couples in the community asked me to do their weddings.

PLANTING CHURCHES

Yes, we like to help other church plants when we can. We were able to provide a computer and other funding to a ministry that helps persecuted believers from Asian countries to assimilate into the USA. These people appreciate our country’s religious freedom. May God always let us have it!

SERVING THE COMMUNITY

  • We were able to serve 7 families with Christmas gifts, groceries, and other essential assistance for these families to make it another month. God is good.
  • We have helped nearly 100 families with groceries!
  • 25 formerly homeless Veterans – hamburgers, chicken, and all kinds of food to bless them. They have not been able to get fresh meat because of their low income, but we have been able to help. One of these vets hasn’t cooked in years, and now he is cooking again! Cooking is great therapy!
  • 50 Single parents with a freezer, and then filling it numerous times with meats, hamburger, chicken, and of course chicken nuggies!
One of the single moms has cancer, undergoing treatment, and is on a high protein diet. She thanked us for providing these resources for them because she was not able to get it before!

COVID RESPONSE:

  • We decided to scale up during Covid and press into serving the community.
  • We organized a team to help CARE for our isolated neighbors.
  • We hosted a food drive and a food pantry for community members in need.
Thank you again!
